This weekend has been mental for me. We had a major storm across lower BC with flooding in many areas. The Kia has really performed admirably with it pulling lots of off-road work and taking some hits for the team.

A video I took of the aftermath of a landslide and the lovely new waterfall the residents now have in their backyard....

The road was closed by the RCMP but I had to respond for work. The officer looked very disapproving of the Forte and told me that the road was super sketchy... Maybe video of that drive to come.

I f that happened around here , there would be at least one Jeep person anxiously waiting to help pull stuck vehicles out of harm’s way

I’m guessing waterfalls on the property are desirable. Waterfalls that flood basements or wash out driveways are not quite so good.

Holy crap, that’s a whole lotta not good. Here we got a wind storm that brought trees down with a trailer park getting really hard hit. Fortunately nobody got hurt, but a fair number of people who don’t have a lot of money lost their houses.

We just lost a couple of fence panels, and our neighbors got those back up before I could get out there.

Damn....we had a tiny basement flood in 2018 and that was a PITA....I feel for them. :(

Looks worse than us, but we’ve been dealing with bad flooding due to the supersaturated soil. The flood on the river near my house is close to a record depth for this century...

I’m amazed they let you through at all. It always seemed like the RCMP was more concerned with ensuring safety than anything else.

Is that the road on the way up to Sasquatch? I heard 500 people were stuck at the resort because of this.

 Also, i think it worth saying that while I’m not a fan of the negativity involved, I am pretty envious of your profession. You get access to the aftermath scenes the rest of us plebs have to rubberneck for.
